Taking my writing on the road works every time but barring that I take a break from my evening schedule and do something different like going to an information session at the local library on a topic that I'm not familiar with, attending a group meeting for the first time, etc. Just some event, no matter how small, that I wouldn't normally go to. And if that doesn't work I either skip ahead to another chapter in the story or start working on another project or something completely different like the admin/promotion side of things and soon the first story starts luring me back.
