Got through a reading of one of my author's today. Actually, saying "got through" implies it was a pain. I have to say, when I read the manuscripts of my authors, it shows me clearly why I picked them. They are unique and have a voice that you just don't see out there amid all of the other mediocre writing.
Anyway, read her proposal, worked on a contract, finished up reading some submissions, sent out proposals, called 2 editors and all before 8:30 am.
Now that is a good morning.
