So, I've been thinking about rejection letters again.
I find it interesting that many authors seem to take exception to those letters. There is always a reason why the person writing it didn't seem to know their head from their you know what.
But here's the thing. They do know. They are paid to know.
Sure, those comments might not be enjoyable, but they are answers. Now, it is your job, if you wish to be published to quit arguing with the professionals and learn from those comments.
I say this to those of you who have many stories under your belt already and continually get rejected. Go back and start reading those letters. If you are honest with yourself, you might find the key to explaining all of those rejections is hidden away in that folder of letters you only wanted to ignore.
