I am writing this on the evening of Wed. Nov. 18th although it will be posted on the 19th. That will account for the potential tense difference in the wording. I wanted to get this into the computer while the ideas were still fresh (but very murky) in my head.
Mistakes have been made.
Mistakes are continuing to be made.
Mistakes will continue to be made if thinking does not happen.
Please do not attempt to figure out my stance on this subject. I am not nor will I state what my opinion is on this issue.
I will return to regularly scheduled discussions on how to improve our writing and how to get into the business ASAP!

Never mind figuring out your stance, I can barely figure out what you're talking about. Is this about Harlequin partnering with a self publishing company? I admit I'd be interested to hear your take on the whole thing, but since you've counted that out I'll just remain confused!
