Special Submission Opportunities

For those of you not heading to RWA this coming week, Greyhaus will be offering daily special
submissions. Each day, I will focus on one publishing line. You will have the opportunity to submit more than the standard query for this coming week.

Please understand, this is a one time offer. At the end of the week, the standard submission process will be used.

Take the time this weekend to review the guidelines below. The blog post each day will have the specifics you need to include.

Monday - Gradydon House
Tuesday - Harlequin Desire
Wednesday - Harlequin Romance
Thursday - Harlequin Dare

  1. Wow! What an offer. Can we send you one each day?

    1. I would not recommend that for several reasons. You will notice the range of stories. If you have projects that diverse, I would worry that you have not really taken the time to immerse yourself in that line. Secondly, if you submit on each day and get feedback on the first day, you have now screwed over your chances of fixing those other projects. By then, it will be too late. Always take the time to review the comments from an editor or agent, see if your next problem is clear of those issues and then you can consider sending a project.

  2. Must our submissions be completely finished I have several potentials that are in various stages of completion?

  3. Projects should near finished. Think of this timeline. 1) you submit; 2) I read it and get back to you within 2-3 weeks; 3) you submit the full in no less then 2 weeks after that. With this timeline you should be under 1 month from when the entire project is ready to go to an editor or agent.

  4. Scott, where should we view submission guidelines?

  5. I have provided links to each of the lines I am looking for this week on the first day that outlined all of the lines as well as on the post each day. Make sure to review what that line is looking for and, if your project fits that line, follow the directions I have posted for that day.
