Quit Hiring People To Write Your Submissions

I don't understand people. Why would people want to waste money? And yet, over the weekend, I received numerous emails from people who clearly love to waste money? How you might ask? They hire people to write their submissions for them. Yes, that is right! They are paying someone to be an agent to query to an agent. 

WHY!!!!!!!

Look, let me explain something. If I want to work with an author, and an author wants to work with an agent, this needs to be a mutual agreement. I need to know who you are beyond some biographical data that some random person put together (probably using ChatGPT). You, as an author need to know who I am and not just being told by this person who generated a random list (again probably from ChatGPT) that someone might have requested your material. Would you even want to work for me? Do you have any clue who I am?

Let's be serious here. If you cannot write your own query and your own pitch, then you simply cannot and will not make it in the business of publishing. 

You are just wasting your money!
