Reaching Out To Writing Chapters

Every now and then, I like to reach out to writing chapters. I know that some of you have pretty fixed incomes so bringing in guest speakers can be tough. But there are solutions!

First of all, let me tell you what you get if I show up:

• Presentation on a topic of your choosing.
• Critique opportunities
• Pitch sessions
• No speaking fees (all I ask for is transportation and hotel expenses)

Now, how do you make this happen?

First of all, just ask. That is the hardest part. 

Secondly, pair up with a neighboring chapter and I can meet with each chapter on a different day. One chapter picks up the incoming airfare and the other picks up the outgoing. Split the hotel expense.

Another option is to do this as a webinar. These can be done through SKYPE or if you want to spend money, the GO TO MEETING option also works. I can talk you through each of the approaches. 

For those writing groups in Washington and Oregon, you pay no hotel or air expenses. I am REALLY the inexpensive agent to bring in!

My goal for the 2020 year is to really expand the educational programs and services I can provide writing chapters. But please understand, I am not an agent that invites myself to a writing chapter. I figure, if you want me, you would ask.
